According to the elders of the UEFGA, the club was started around 1934 and meetings were held at a building along Route 28 on the Shandaken - Pine Hill boundary. Originally only a few mountain members enjoyed pistol and rifle shooting at a mountain location. The UEFGA club was incorporated in 1949, and the current club house and property was established in 1978 where the club house stands today with various covered pavilions.

Assets:

• We have 185 acres of woodland surrounded by 20,000 acres of NY State forest.
• We have good hunting, hiking and camping areas along a forested landscape.
• We have two Rifle Ranges for 100 yd and 200 yd shooting. Both shooting positions are covered. It is open most of the year sunrise to sunset unless otherwise posted closed for events and hunting seasons.
• Pistol shooting can be done with member supplied portable targets.

Full use of the facilities is available to all members.
One guest is allowed per member for range use only.
No guests are allowed for hunting.

Meetings are conducted every third (3rd) Thursday of the month at 8:00 PM in the UEFGA Club House on the grounds.

Membership Classifications and Annual Dues:

• Junior Member: $15 • Up to 16 years of age
• Active Member: $35 • Must help with two activities or work parties per year
• Inactive Member: $90 • Unable to help at events or work parties - Still has use of grounds for hiking, hunting etc.
